Jacareacanga council discusses environmental investments

The Municipal Environmental Council (CONDEMA) of Jacareacanga held an ordinary meeting to discuss strategic environmental policies. A primary focus of the meeting was the potential allocation of R$ 43,992.54 in resources, likely derived from forest production distributions from forest concessions.

Council members approved the application of these funds toward the structuring and strengthening of the Municipal Nursery. The goal is to increase seedling production capacity to support reforestation, area recovery, and urban greening. The initiative also aims to provide a space for environmental education involving schools and local producers. While the nursery currently has irrigation and covered areas, the council noted a need for new equipment, materials, and technical training to expand its services.
