Polish music scene sees band changes and talent show updates

The Polish music scene is experiencing significant shifts in both talent competitions and established bands. In the 17th edition of ‘The Voice of Poland’, new coach Edyta Bartosiewicz has debuted, expressing concerns over the program’s current format regarding the lack of direct interaction with contestants who fail to secure a seat. Notable participants in the blind auditions include Jakub Gąsowski, who joined Kuba Banach’s team, and Zosia Kosińska, who received unanimous praise from all coaches and joined Baron and Tomson’s team. Additionally, Jarosław Weber, a former talent show winner, has made a strong return to the spotlight.

In band news, Krzysztof Wałecki has announced his decision to enter a permanent collaboration with Budka Suflera. This move follows the departure of Jacek Kawalec, who is ending his tenure with the group after a period of controversy involving a parody of disco polo singer Zenek Martyniuk. Kawalec has since attempted to reconcile with Martyniuk through public apologies and musical gestures.
