Jack Antonoff references split from Margaret Qualley during concert

Musician Jack Antonoff addressed his recent split from actress Margaret Qualley during a performance at The Troubadour in West Hollywood. While performing with his band, Bleachers, Antonoff declined a fan's request to play his 2017 song “Let’s Get Married,” quipping, “Absolutely not. Read the news, brother.”

Antonoff and Qualley, who married in 2023, confirmed their separation in July after nearly three years of marriage. A representative for Qualley previously stated that the split was amicable, noting there were “no trust issues” and “no infidelity,” while asking for privacy regarding the matter.

Although the song “Let’s Get Married” may appear to be a romantic track, Antonoff clarified that he wrote it in 2016 following the U.S. presidential election. He described the song as a reaction to feeling “devastated” and “freaked out” by the political climate at the time, rather than a direct reflection of his relationship with Qualley.
