Jack Draper Withdraws from Mubadala DC Open Due to Recurring Arm Injury
British tennis player Jack Draper, a former world No. 4, pulled out of the Mubadala DC Open in Washington, D.C., after his left‑arm injury resurfaced during a warm‑up match against American Alex Michelsen. The injury is described as internal bone bruising caused by repetitive stress during his serve.
The ailment has already forced Draper to miss the US Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon earlier this year and has seen his ATP ranking fall from No. 4 to No. 147. Despite a recent victory over Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells, Draper stated on Instagram that the past months have been filled with setbacks, expressing gratitude for the support he receives as he works toward recovery.
