Jack Holder reveals serious nerve damage following speedway crash

Australian speedway rider Jack Holder has revealed the severity of his injuries following a major crash during the Grand Prix in Wrocław. While his previous fractures to his foot, back, and arm are healing well with surgical plates, Holder is now facing significant neurological complications.

Speaking to the British Speedway Network, Holder stated that he is currently unable to move his hand, suggesting he may have damaged his radial nerve which runs from his neck to his arm. He described the situation as ‘quite frightening’ and noted that while he maintains grip strength, he cannot move his hand.

Holder must wait 12 weeks for a follow-up consultation with a surgeon to assess the nerve damage. The injury has cast doubt on his ability to compete for the remainder of the season.
