Jack in the Box appoints Taylor Montgomery as president

Jack in the Box has appointed Taylor Montgomery as its first-ever president, effective September 14. Montgomery, who previously served as the global chief brand officer at Taco Bell, will lead the company’s brand strategy in this newly created role.

The appointment is part of a succession plan in which Montgomery is expected to transition into the role of chief executive officer and join the board of directors within the next 12 months. During this period, he will work alongside Mark King, the company’s executive chairman and interim CEO.

Montgomery brings extensive experience from Yum Brands and Procter & Gamble. His primary objectives include accelerating same-store sales growth, improving restaurant-level execution, and driving brand momentum. Jack in the Box currently operates approximately 2,115 restaurants across 25 U.S. states, Mexico, and Guam.
