Addressing fan disappointment regarding his absence from the gay hockey drama ‘Heated Rivalry’, Innanen explained that he had to decline an undisclosed role due to scheduling conflicts. In a lighthearted apology to fans who wanted to see him play the character Troy Barrett, he joked that he would “show hole” as an apology, noting that he has been working on his glutes.
