Jack Miller expresses embarrassment after poor MotoGP performance in Austria

MotoGP rider Jack Miller expressed deep embarrassment following his performance at the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. After facing electronic issues throughout the weekend, the Pramac Yamaha rider initially showed strength, overtaking Franco Morbidelli and Pol Espargaró in the early laps.

However, Miller suffered a drastic loss of pace due to extreme rear tire degradation. By the 13th or 14th lap, the rear tire was worn down to the base rubber, causing the bike to spin even on straightaways. Despite switching to lower power maps to manage the issue, his lap times plummeted from a 1:30.939 at the third lap to finishing the race with times of 1:38.929 and 1:40.225.

Miller noted that these final lap times were slower than the race record set by Harley-Davidson Baggers on the same circuit earlier that day. He described the situation as “embarrassing,” stating he could not accelerate properly on the straights and had to be extremely cautious entering corners to avoid losing control.
