Jack Miller to join Yamaha WorldSBK team for 2027

Australian rider Jack Miller will transition from MotoGP to the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK), joining the Pata Maxus Yamaha factory team for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Miller, who has spent 11 years in the premier MotoGP class, will replace Xavi Vierge and partner with Andrea Locatelli. His move follows the loss of his MotoGP seat at Pramac, which will be taken by rookie Izan Guevara. Miller’s decision comes after demonstrating competitive speed on the Yamaha R1 during the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance races.

Miller’s career includes four MotoGP victories and 23 podiums across various manufacturers, including Honda, Ducati, and KTM. His move to WorldSBK is part of a broader trend of MotoGP riders moving to the series, potentially aided by the switch to Michelin tires in WorldSBK starting in 2027.
