Jack Miller's WorldSBK Prospects Hindered by €1 million Salary Demand

Australian MotoGP rider Jack Miller faces a bleak outlook after scoring only 19 points midway through the 2026 season, trailing teammate Toprak Razgatlıoğlu. His contract with Pramac Yamaha ends, and Izan Guevara is set to replace him for 2027, leaving Miller at a career crossroads.

The World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) is seen as the most viable next step, but Miller’s reported demand for a €1 million annual salary limits potential suitors to manufacturers with deep pockets, notably Honda and BMW. Honda, which currently fields Jake Dixon and Somkiat Chantra, may create a satellite team backed by Thai oil firm PTT, potentially opening a seat for Miller. No official announcement has been made, and the salary gap could force Miller to lower his expectations to secure a ride.

Miller’s decade‑long experience across factory teams—including stints with Honda, Ducati, KTM and Yamaha—makes him an attractive candidate for a development role in WorldSBK, should a suitable opportunity arise.
