Jack Nicklaus holds the all‑time record for cuts made in men’s major golf championships, having made the cut in 131 of his 164 major starts. His total surpasses other legends such as Gary Player (102 cuts), Tom Watson (100), Raymond Floyd (96) and Arnold Palmer (90).

The 2026 U.S. Open will be staged from June 18‑21 at the historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island, New York. The tournament will feature 156 players, including defending champion J.J.
