Jack Technology orders 2,000 humanoid robots for apparel manufacturing

Jack Technology, a global industrial sewing machine maker, announced the purchase of 2,000 humanoid robots to increase efficiency in its apparel production lines by about 30%. The company partnered with Siemens, which will provide the software backbone, digital twins, AI‑enabled sensing and fleet‑management tools. Siemens highlighted the robots' ability to work alongside humans, exchange real‑time data with production systems and adapt to shifting factory conditions.

The deployment marks the first large‑scale use of humanoid robotics in the apparel sector, with the robots operating in existing workspaces without major facility modifications. Siemens also cited other robotic applications, such as a wheeled humanoid handling crates at its Erlangen plant and the quadruped robot ANYmal used for hazardous inspections in chemical and energy facilities.
