Jack Vettriano retrospective to open in Trieste

The Salone degli Incanti in Trieste will host a major retrospective of Scottish artist Jack Vettriano (1951–2025) from October 29, 2026, to May 2, 2027. Following successful exhibitions in Bologna, Milan, and Rome that drew over 80,000 visitors, this exhibition will feature more than 80 works, including paintings, works on paper, photographs, and audiovisual materials.

The exhibition, organized by Pallavicini S. r. l. and supported by the Municipality of Trieste, is designed to showcase the evolution of Vettriano’s visual language. His work is characterized by cinematic atmospheres, narrative tension, and themes of desire and melancholy. Although his popular success has often been met with skepticism from official art critics, Vettriano was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the visual arts.
