Jack Wolff escapes injury after dramatic karting crash in Italy

Jack Wolff, the nine-year-old son of Mercedes Formula 1 Team Principal Toto Wolff and F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff, escaped serious injury following a dramatic accident during the IAME Warriors Final at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo, Italy.

The incident occurred on Friday during the final lap of the X30 Mini category. While racing for KR Motorsport, Jack Wolff made contact with Moroccan driver Nahyl El Gahoudi, causing his kart to spin. British racer Dimitar Uzunov, following closely behind, was unable to avoid the collision, and his kart flew over Wolff, striking the young driver’s helmet and shoulder.

Despite the intensity of the impact, Wolff was able to exit the kart under his own power. Although he received minor medical treatment and was taken for precautionary diagnostic checks, medical reports confirmed he sustained no serious injuries. Following the accident, the young driver expressed a strong desire to return to racing for the scheduled sessions on Saturday.
