Jack Young-Larter jailed for trading drugs for Pokémon cards

Jack Young-Larter, 26, has been sentenced to three years and four months in prison after operating a drug distribution scheme in Maidstone, UK, that involved trading collectible Pokémon cards.

Following a police search of his home on May 1, authorities seized 110g of cannabis, over 25g of cocaine, £2,000 in cash, and a collection of rare Pokémon cards valued at thousands of pounds. Investigators discovered messages on Young-Larter’s devices showing he offered to “take off” the debts of his clients if they stole tins of Pokémon cards for him.

Young-Larter pleaded guilty to charges including being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, as well as possession of criminal property. Under a Deprivation Order issued by the court, the seized Pokémon collection and other assets linked to the criminal activity will be permanently stripped from him.
