Jackie Chan showcases basketball skills at NBA event in Macao

At 72 years old, actor Jackie Chan showcased his basketball skills during the NBA House 2026 fan festival held at the Venetian Cotai Expo in Macao. During the event, which runs from October 7 to 11 alongside the 2026 NBA China Games, Chan received shooting instruction from renowned coach Chris Matthews, also known as ‘Lethal Shooter’.

Chan impressed onlookers by successfully sinking a long-distance jump shot on his first attempt. The NBA highlighted the moment on social media, noting that the actor ‘accepted the challenge, casually threw a jump shot, and succeeded on his first attempt.’

In addition to the fan festival, Chan attended a preseason matchup between the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks at the Venetian Arena. He was joined at the game by football icon David Beckham.
