Jackie DeAngelis sues Whole Foods over dog attack

Fox Business Network co-host Jackie DeAngelis has filed a lawsuit against Whole Foods following a dog attack at a Manhattan grocery store in September 2023. According to court filings in Manhattan Supreme Court, DeAngelis was shopping at the 10 Columbus Circle location when a black pit bull mauled her left hand.

The lawsuit alleges that the dog was not a service animal and that Whole Foods failed to enforce its own policies, which prohibit regular pets from entering the store. DeAngelis claims the incident left her hand permanently disfigured with limited mobility, requiring surgery and resulting in ongoing medical expenses and emotional distress.

By the time police arrived at the scene, the dog and its owner had already fled. DeAngelis is seeking unspecified damages for her injuries and the resulting impact on her ability to perform daily tasks.
