Jackson Heights sees two major New York Lottery winners

Two major New York Lottery scratch-off prizes were recently won at different locations in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Enrique Cabrera, a Queens resident, won a $1 million top prize from the $1 Million Bonus Cashword game on July 31. Cabrera chose a single lump-sum payment of $395,974 after withholdings. His winning ticket was purchased at I & Y News & Candy on Roosevelt Avenue.

Less than a month later, on August 26, Brooklyn resident and radiologist Jennifer Abramshe won a $2 million top prize from the $2 Million Cashword game. Abramshe opted for a lump-sum payment of $795,919 after taxes. Her ticket was purchased at a Bolla gas station on Northern Boulevard.
