Jackson Koivun wins 3M Open and secures FedExCup playoff berth

21‑year‑old PGA Tour rookie Jackson Koivun captured his third tour victory at the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota, posting a bogey‑free 66 for a tournament‑record 25‑under 259 and beating world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by three strokes. The win vaulted Koivun to No. 70 in the Official World Golf Ranking, up from No. 206, and earned him the final qualifying spot for the first leg of the FedExCup playoffs at the St. Jude Championship.

Koivun, a former No. 1 amateur who was a three‑time SEC Player of the Year, three‑time All‑American and two‑time national champion at Auburn University, turned professional earlier this year and earned immediate PGA Tour status through the PGA Tour University program. He entered the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina as a contender for a FedExCup playoff run.
