Jackson Memorial Hospital nurse attacked by patient in Florida

A patient at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida launched an unprovoked attack on an emergency room nurse on May 30. Surveillance footage shows Wenyou Rubin, 44, striking nurse Yanira Eguileor multiple times after Rubin had also attacked a finance staffer.

Eguileor sustained injuries to her head, neck, spine, and back during the assault. She reported that she intervened to protect a colleague when the attack began. A $5 million negligence lawsuit has been filed against the hospital following the incident. Rubin faces charges of battery on an emergency medical worker.
