Jackson State loses two straight sets to UT Arlington and Mississippi State

In the Ragin' Cajuns Classic held in Lafayette, Louisiana, Jackson State University suffered two straight-set losses against UT Arlington and Mississippi State.

UT Arlington defeated Jackson State 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-19. The Mavericks recorded 41 kills and a .282 hitting percentage. Key contributors included Sophia Krichev, Mazi Smith, and Evyn Snook.

Mississippi State also swept Jackson State in three sets to move to a 2-0 record in the tournament. The Bulldogs finished the day with a .325 hitting percentage and 46 kills. Lindsey Mangelson led the team with 15 kills and 17 digs, while Bernardita Aguilar contributed 12 kills.
