Jackson State, Mississippi State Players Earn Preseason All-Conference Honors

Jackson State University saw eight of its football players selected to Phil Steele's preseason All-Conference teams, including first‑team wide receiver Nate Rembert, who posted 45 receptions for 750 yards and seven touchdowns last season, and offensive lineman Quaveon Davis. Defensive back Kam Sallis also earned first‑team recognition, while several teammates made the second team.

In the SEC, Mississippi State defensive back Kelley Jones was named to the preseason second team. Former two‑time Super Bowl champion Bryant McFadden praised Jones, calling him the "Sauce Gardner of college football" and suggesting he could become a top‑10 NFL draft pick if he stays focused.
