Jackson Ude provides ₦80m in business grants to 80 Nkporo youths

Jackson Ude, a former presidential aide and investigative journalist, has distributed ₦80 million in business grants to 80 youths in Nkporo, located in the Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State. Each beneficiary received ₦1 million to support or expand small-scale enterprises in sectors such as agriculture, technology, fashion, food processing, and transportation.

The recipients were selected from eight sub-villages within Nkporo, with ten individuals chosen from each community. Selection was based on a rigorous process requiring applicants to submit and defend business proposals before a panel. This initiative follows previous philanthropic efforts by Ude, including ₦40 million in grants to 40 youths in 2024 and ₦8 million in academic scholarships in 2021.

Community stakeholders have been mobilized to monitor the deployment of these funds. The program aims to address local challenges regarding unemployment and the difficulty young Nigerians face when attempting to access capital for business ventures.
