Jackson, Wyoming road closures planned for traffic light installation

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced temporary road closures and detours in downtown Jackson to facilitate the installation of new traffic light poles and mast arms at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Millward Street.

On Monday evening, South Millward Street will close from Broadway Avenue to West Pearl Avenue between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Following this, North Millward Street will close from Broadway Avenue to Deloney Avenue from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Thursday night, crews will begin installing horizontal mast arms starting at 8 p.m., during which time no traffic will be permitted under the arms until they are secured.

These signal replacements are part of a larger infrastructure project intended to improve Broadway Avenue before the winter season. The project includes drainpipe installation, concrete slab repairs, and Americans with Disabilities Act pedestrian sidewalk upgrades. Construction is expected to continue through November 21, with work pausing for the season before resuming in the spring.
