Jacksonville Jaguars considering trade of WR Brian Thomas Jr
The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly considering trading wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. before the NFL trade deadline. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, multiple league executives believe the team may move the player due to a significant decrease in his playing time and production.
Thomas, a former LSU standout and 2024 Pro Bowl selection, has seen his role diminish behind teammates Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers. In recent games, he has struggled offensively, recording only nine catches for 105 yards and one touchdown through six games this season. His decline follows a rookie campaign where he recorded 87 receptions for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns.
While the Jaguars have previously declined significant offers for Thomas, the team faces a decision as he falls further down the depth chart. Thomas is currently in the third year of a four-year rookie contract.
