Jacksonville Jaguars hail Travis Hunter as most naturally talented athlete

Veteran defensive lineman Arik Armstead said Travis Hunter is “the most naturally talented athlete” he has seen in the NFL. Hunter’s rookie season was cut short after a knee injury after seven games, during which he posted 28 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdown, alongside 15 defensive tackles and three passes defended.

Armstead believes Hunter can make a significant leap in his second year, noting that the Jaguars will have a clearer role for him once he is fully recovered and participates in training camp. The team has yet to finalize how to best utilize his unique two‑way ability, but aims to build around his versatility for the 2026 season.
