Jacksonville Jaguars limit Travis Hunter to defensive reps in practice
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen has adjusted Travis Hunter’s training camp participation to focus more heavily on defensive development. During a recent practice session, Hunter was limited to defensive snaps during 11-on-11 work, participating in only five offensive snaps during 7-on-7 drills.
Coen explained that the decision was intended to provide Hunter with more mental and visual repetitions on the defensive side of the ball. By staying on the defensive sideline rather than constantly rotating to the offensive huddle, Hunter can better absorb coaching and scheme adjustments from the defensive staff. This move suggests the Jaguars may prioritize Hunter’s role as a cornerback heading into the 2026 season.
