Jacob Chase directs Insidious: Out of the Further and announces next film
The sixth installment of the horror franchise, Insidious: Out of the Further, directed by Jacob Chase, introduces a new mechanic to the series. The story follows Gemma, a single mother who discovers she is not only a traveler capable of astral projecting into the Further, but also a courier who can bring entities and objects from that realm into the living world.
Following the release of the film, it has been announced that Jacob Chase will direct his next horror project, titled Sleepover. The film is set for an October 8, 2027, release. Chase will co-write the screenplay with Bryce McGuire, with production handled by Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Atomic Monster.
