Jacob Devaney in talks for loan move to Hibernian

Manchester United midfielder Jacob Devaney is in advanced talks regarding a loan move to Hibernian for the 2026/27 campaign. The 19-year-old Ireland youth international is seeking regular first-team minutes to further his development after a successful loan spell with St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.

Devaney, a defensive midfielder who has also demonstrated versatility as a centre-back during pre-season appearances under head coach Michael Carrick, has attracted significant interest from other clubs. His previous stint in Scotland included 18 appearances, where he maintained a 92% pass completion rate. While the deal with Hibernian is reportedly at an advanced stage, it has not yet been finalized.
