Jacob Elordi to narrate Eric Dane’s posthumous memoir

Actor Jacob Elordi will narrate the audiobook version of the posthumous memoir ‘My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments’ by the late Eric Dane. The audiobook is scheduled for release on November 3.

In the HBO series ‘Euphoria’, Elordi and Dane played father and son, Nate and Cal Jacobs. The two maintained a close professional and personal relationship, with Dane previously expressing deep respect for Elordi’s commitment to his craft.

The memoir details Dane’s personal struggles, including his battle with addiction and his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in April 2025. He also addresses his departure from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, noting it was a financial decision rather than a result of personal issues.

Maria Shriver, through her imprint The Open Field, is also participating as a narrator, reading the ‘Dear Reader’ chapter. Dane passed away in February 2026 at the age of 53 due to respiratory failure resulting from ALS.
