Jacob Fatu discusses addiction struggles and WWE second chance

WWE wrestler Jacob Fatu revealed on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast that addiction issues nearly prevented him from joining the company. Fatu disclosed that he struggled with cocaine and ecstasy, which led to a 19-day period of uncertainty regarding his employment status before he was officially hired.

Fatu expressed deep gratitude toward Triple H for providing a second chance. He described an emotional moment following his match against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42, where he tearfully thanked Triple H for the opportunity. Triple H reportedly responded by telling Fatu that he was the one responsible for his own success.

Additionally, Fatu shared details regarding his WWE debut, noting that Michael Hayes had originally advised him to wear a ski mask to maintain kayfabe. However, Triple H intervened during rehearsals, instructing him to remove the mask so the audience could see him clearly.
