Jacob Fields charged with aggravated assault following TCU locker room incident

Former TCU safety Jacob Fields has been charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury following an alleged locker room altercation. Fields turned himself in to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and was released on a $50,000 bond.

The incident reportedly occurred on August 13, involving a strike against TCU wide receiver Dozie Ezukanma. Ezukanma stated in a video that he was sucker punched and knocked unconscious. Following the incident, TCU dismissed Fields from the program for violating team rules.

Fields, who previously played for Louisiana Tech, has had his legal representation dispute the allegations. His agent, Philip Miller, stated that much of the information circulating on social media is “false or purely speculative.” Fields' attorney, Cory Dubose, also raised concerns regarding the bond hearing process.
