Jacob Frey faces online mockery after dancing at state fair

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has faced significant online ridicule following a video of him dancing at the Black Entrepreneur State Fair. The footage shows the 45-year-old mayor attempting to dance to a hip-hop performance alongside an emcee in what observers described as an awkward and uncoordinated display.

Social media users responded to the video with widespread mockery, with commenters on platforms like X describing his movements as stiff and lacking rhythm. This incident follows previous instances where Frey’s public performances drew criticism, including during a Somali Independence Day celebration and various campaign events.

Beyond these social media reactions, Frey has remained a figure of political contention in Minneapolis, having previously made headlines for his vocal opposition to federal immigration enforcement operations in the city.
