Jacob Micallef claims first GB3 victory at Silverstone, Rodrigo González finishes second

Jacob Micallef of Hitech GP secured his maiden GB3 Championship win at Silverstone, edging out Mexican driver Rodrigo González on the final lap. Micallef, who started fourth, overtook González at Brooklands on the last circuit, finishing 0.176 seconds ahead after a tightly contested race.

González had led 13 of the 14 laps after starting from the front row of the reversed grid, but could not hold off the late charge. Edu Robinson of Elite Motorsport briefly held second place before being passed by both drivers. Patricio González, Rodrigo's brother, completed the top five, while other notable finishers included Nikita Bedrin and Maxim Rehm.

The result marks a strong showing for Mexican drivers in the GB3 series and gives Hitech GP its third win of the weekend.
