Jacob Misiorowski reaches 200 strikeouts in historic MLB season

Jacob Misiorowski has made Major League Baseball history by becoming the second-fastest pitcher to reach 200 strikeouts in a single season. The Milwaukee Brewers right-hander achieved the milestone in just 129.1 innings pitched during a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Misiorowski’s performance breaks the previous Milwaukee franchise record held by Corbin Burnes. In the history of the league, only Spencer Strider reached the 200-strikeout mark in fewer innings, doing so in 123.1 innings during the 2023 season.

The Brewers secured their win in 10 innings at American Family Field. Misiorowski finished his outing with nine strikeouts in six innings. His season has been characterized by elite velocity, including a record for the most pitches of at least 100 mph in the tracking era.
