Jacob Misiorowski throws record‑speed complete game for Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers right‑hander Jacob Misiorowski delivered his first professional complete game on the mound, pitching eight innings of shutout baseball against the Philadelphia Phillies. He struck out 15 batters with no walks and allowed just one hit in a 6‑0 victory.

During the contest Misiorowski recorded a 104.5 mph fastball—the fastest ever thrown by a starting pitcher since pitch‑tracking began—and four pitches topped 104 mph. He logged a total of 58 pitches at 100 mph or higher and improved his season ERA to 1.34, joining a select group of Brewers with such dominant outings this year.

The performance also marked a career milestone: Misiorowski had never previously pitched past the seventh inning in his 27 major‑league starts, and the Brewers had not seen a complete game since Brandon Woodruff’s effort in September 2023.
