Jacob Nistrup Begins Coaching Panathinaikos, Holds First Training Session
Dutch coach Jacob Nistrup sent his first message to Panathinaikos supporters, saying he is "excited to be here and to have a great season". The following day he led his inaugural training at the G. Kalafatis ground, focusing on warm‑up, ball circulation, rondo drills and rapid passing under pressure. Individual work was given to players such as Kyrgiakos, Palmer‑Brown, Ingsand and Bocos. Several international squad members were absent – Tetai, Kontouris, Kyriakopoulos, Cherin, Giakouits, and others – with some, including Bakassetas, Gentvai, Sisoco, Pandovits and Vilen, missing on special permits. Defender Tsiribegia missed the session due to his wedding. The session marked the start of Nistrup’s tenure as head coach of the Greek club.
