Jacob Thomas emerges as roster favorite for Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings undrafted rookie safety Jacob Thomas has emerged as a strong candidate for the team's final roster following impressive preseason performances. During a Week 2 preseason matchup, Thomas led the team with six combined tackles and one pass defense.

Head coach Kevin O'Connell praised the former James Madison University player, describing him as “really smart,” “instinctive,” and a “great communicator.” O'Connell noted that Thomas has consistently made plays during training camp and has been a “great find” for the organization.

Thomas, who recorded an interception in his preseason debut, is currently competing for depth at the safety position. His collegiate career at James Madison included 199 combined tackles and five interceptions over four seasons.
