Jacob Zuma reported healthy by MKP after hospital visit

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has stated that former South African President Jacob Zuma is in good health following a recent hospital visit. MKP spokesperson Sifiso Mahlangu clarified that the 84-year-old leader underwent a routine medical check-up, noting that Zuma typically undergoes such procedures, including blood tests, at least twice a year.

Conflicting reports have emerged regarding the circumstances of the visit. While the MKP maintains the visit was scheduled and that Zuma is currently at his home in Nkandla, some reports suggest an ambulance was used to transport him to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg or Msinga after he reportedly fell ill following a campaign appearance.

The MKP has assured supporters that there is no cause for alarm and that Zuma remains in good spirits. His campaign schedule is expected to continue, with plans for him to return to the campaign trail this Friday ahead of the local government elections on November 4.
