Jacobe Smith wins via TKO at UFC 332 amid controversy

Undefeated UFC welterweight Jacobe Smith secured a first-round technical knockout victory over Bruce Whitehead at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The fight, which lasted only 92 seconds, was marked by controversy when Smith landed a significant knee to Whitehead’s groin during a clinch. Although Whitehead chose to continue the bout, Smith capitalized on the exchange by taking Whitehead to the ground and landing strikes from the back mount to force a referee stoppage.

Following the victory, Smith expressed intense frustration toward fellow fighter Kevin Holland. Smith had originally been scheduled to face Holland, but the matchup was postponed twice due to injuries. Smith criticized Holland for accepting a new fight against Uros Medic after withdrawing from the Utah event, stating that the repeated cancellations forced him to undergo multiple training camps. Smith issued a warning to Holland, indicating he intends to pursue him in the cage following his upcoming bouts.
