Jacobo Majluta Avenue undergoes urban transformation via major infrastructure projects

The Jacobo Majluta Avenue area in Greater Santo Domingo is entering a new phase of urban and economic transformation driven by major infrastructure projects. A key government initiative, titled ‘Solución Vial y Ambiental: Avenida República de Colombia y su Entorno’, aims to improve mobility by connecting Jacobo Majluta, República de Colombia, and Monumental avenues.

The project involves an investment of approximately RD$12,000 million, which includes expropriations. Planned works include a large road distributor, a bridge over a stream, underpasses, and trenches designed to create continuous circulation without traffic lights at key intersections. President Luis Abinader has personally supervised the progress of these works.

From a real estate perspective, these improvements in accessibility are expected to influence the area's development. Analysts suggest that the combination of infrastructure growth, population increases, and enhanced connectivity serves as a signal for potential investors looking to participate in the zone's evolving landscape.
