Inter Milan seeks to renew Alessandro Bastoni's contract

Inter Milan is moving to secure the future of defender Alessandro Bastoni with a contract extension. After a period of uncertainty where the player considered leaving Serie A due to interest from Barcelona, Bastoni has experienced a resurgence in form, notably scoring for the Italian national team against Turkey and France.

While Barcelona and Real Madrid previously showed interest, Inter reportedly maintained a non-negotiable valuation of at least 60 to 80 million euros, which deterred potential suitors. The club now aims to extend his current deal, which expires in June 2028, potentially through 2031.

In anticipation of future defensive changes, Inter is also monitoring alternatives. The club has sent scouts to watch Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch, a 20-year-old German prospect who could serve as a long-term successor to Bastoni.
