Jacqueline Fernandez granted NOC to renew work visa

A Delhi court has granted a no-objection certificate (NOC) to actor Jacqueline Fernandez to allow for the renewal of her work visa. The Sri Lankan national has been residing in India on an employment visa since 2009, which has since expired.

The court noted that Fernandez is actively engaged in the entertainment industry with several professional commitments in India. Furthermore, the judge stated that her presence is essential for her participation in ongoing trial proceedings. Fernandez is among those charged in a Rs 200-crore money-laundering case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekar and 15 others.

The order, issued by Additional Sessions Judge Gagandeep Singh, specifies that the certificate allows her to apply for renewal with the relevant authorities, who will consider the application independently according to applicable laws and rules.
