Jacqueline Stuhler, longtime ARD-Buffet presenter, dies at 70

German television journalist and presenter Jacqueline Stuhler has died at the age of 70 following a long, serious illness. The Südwestrundfunk (SWR) announced that she passed away on October 24 in Friolzheim.

Stuhler was widely recognized for her eleven-year tenure as the face of the advice program ‘ARD-Buffet’. Beyond lifestyle programming, she maintained a significant presence in political journalism, hosting ‘SWR Wortwechsel’ and contributing to the Baden-Württemberg political magazine ‘Ländersache’ until 2008.

SWR Director Kai Gniffke honored her legacy, describing her as a ‘clever journalist’ who took people seriously and made complex topics understandable. Her career included early work with Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) on youth programming and various roles within the ARD network.
