Jacqui Lambie condemns One Nation cartoon mocking her health

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has condemned One Nation for releasing a political cartoon that mocks her medical condition. The animated video, part of One Nation’s ‘Please Explain’ series, depicts Lambie in a manner that implies she is experiencing a vaginal prolapse.

Lambie, an army veteran, previously shared details of her struggle with vaginal and bladder prolapse in a Senate speech in August, noting the condition was linked to her military service. She stated that the cartoon trivializes the experiences of millions of women and contributes to a culture of ‘hatred and spitefulness’ in public life.

Support for Lambie has come from various political figures, including Industry Minister Tim Ayres, who criticized the video as ‘cheap political propaganda.’ While Pauline Hanson has reportedly urged the senator to ‘have a laugh,’ Lambie maintains that speaking openly about reproductive health should not make individuals targets for ridicule.
