Jadarian Price faces high rookie projections despite Seahawks injury scare

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price is facing high expectations following an injury scare during training camp. NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein has projected Price to record 1,201 yards from scrimmage, including 986 rushing yards and 215 receiving yards, with 11 total touchdowns.

Price has recently returned to practice after missing the Seahawks’ preseason opener. While his potential to secure the RB1 role is a central topic, analysts note that issues such as fumbles and pass protection mistakes could lead to a running back committee.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald noted that the team is taking a careful approach to Price’s workload as he ramps back up. Additionally, quarterback Sam Darnold praised Price during joint practices, describing him as a ‘special player’ who brings a unique facet to the offense through his ability to both run and catch passes.
