Seattle Seahawks lose 12-game streak following turnovers

The Seattle Seahawks' 12-game winning streak ended with a 33-31 loss to the Washington Commanders on September 27, 2026. The defeat was heavily influenced by three turnovers, all of which resulted in Washington touchdowns.

Rookie running back Jadarian Price struggled with ball security, losing his second fumble in three games during the first quarter. The mistake allowed Washington to take an early 7-0 lead. Price finished the game with five carries for 15 yards. Head coach Mike Macdonald expressed confidence that the rookie will ‘figure it out,’ though the team’s turnover issues remain a significant concern.

In addition to Price's fumble, the Seahawks suffered a defensive takeaway and an interception thrown by quarterback Sam Darnold, which was returned 50 yards for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
