Jadarian Price poised for breakout rookie season with Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price is entering his first NFL season with high expectations following his selection in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Formerly of Notre Dame, where he recorded 1,420 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns, Price is projected by league executives as a strong candidate for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Under new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, the Seahawks plan to utilize more motions, shifts, and multiple tight end sets to maximize Price’s athleticism. He is expected to take on a primary role following the departure of Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs. While veteran Zach Charbonnet is recovering from an ACL injury, Price is positioned to lead the backfield.

Seahawks Coach Mike Macdonald expressed confidence in Price heading into Week 1. Amid the preseason, Price’s partner, Violet Raye, has also drawn attention for wearing custom Seahawks apparel during a matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
