Jade Halfpenny wins 2026 SANFLW Best and Fairest Award

Norwood captain Jade Halfpenny has won the 2026 Hostplus SANFLW League Best and Fairest Award. The midfielder secured the prestigious individual honor at Adelaide Oval after polling 27 votes across 13 matches.

Halfpenny finished four votes ahead of Sturt midfielder Isobel Kuiper, who polled 23 votes. Woodville-West Torrens’ Alice Tentye finished in third place with 22 votes. Halfpenny’s season was marked by high statistical output, averaging 26.9 disposals, 8.4 tackles, 5.9 inside 50s, and 4.8 clearances per match.

In addition to the league's top individual award, Halfpenny received the Kia Coaches Award and the SA Power Networks Leadership Award. She was also named as the ruck-rover in The Advertiser SANFLW Team of the Year.
