Jadlog implements Pitney Bowes automated sorters in Brazil

Jadlog has implemented two Pitney Bowes sorters at its facilities in Rio de Janeiro and Betim, Minas Gerais, to automate parcel classification. The domestically produced equipment is capable of processing up to 5,000 packages per hour and managing 60 simultaneous classifications.

The system organizes flow by city and postal code, utilizing a pre-diverter, three cameras, and a pre-alignment module to position packages before sorting. This automation aims to accelerate sorting processes, reduce manual errors, and improve operational predictability. In the Betim unit, which handles an average of over 30,000 packages daily, the technology helps manage operations for approximately 40 franchises and 150 employees.
